1. They used many forms of media in order to promote the film, one was social media such as snapchat in order to get filters and get you invested in the film so when it comes out you go and see it. Next they posted billboards everywhere of the movie which means that everywhere you turn you would see it and then want to go and see it. This also works with when you’re friends go and watch it and then they tell you about it and then you want to go and see it.
2. Because of how much social media and other forms of digital media are used these days means that everyone is consuming tons of media every day and this means that it will now be the most important form of marketing because it has the ability to become the biggest influencers of publicity
3. A new aspect of filming now is 3D this means that people who are into the jungle book and 3D can have the best of both worlds. Also the technology now means that they are able to do amazing things with it. Next we have vertical integration is where Disney owns most of the company’s that they use in order to make the film, this cuts down on time and money when making the film. The original film was completely made by Disney.
4. The original film was targeted towards girls, they have now changed this by using special effects and cgi in order to appeal to boys and men because stereotypically this is what boys like. They also re made the film because they wanted to appeal to the people that watched it the first time and then the people who watched the first remake and finally the children who have never watched it and grew up with the original
5.The Difference Between Copyright and Trademark. While both offer intellectual property protection, they protect different types of assets. Copyright is geared toward literary and artistic works, such as books and videos. A trademark protects items that help define a company brand, such as its logo.
6. He wanted it to be more unique and dark but at the same time he wanted the keep the beauty of the original
7. This meant that it was a lot more realistic and they could use the massive vault of Disney archives that they have built up over the years in order to make the film production smoother and more efficient. Is also meant that they would only have one human character and all of the other ones would be animated this means that they had to make them walk like they are actual their and figure out how the animals would interact with the environment that they were put in. This could have been from lying down to running though the forest
8. Like I have said in the previous section they build up the animals in sections. This means that first they get their bone structure and then put the skin on and then finally they put the fur or what ever they are covered in to make them act real
9. To play homarge to the 1967 JB they used cell animation at the start of the film to give that old fashioned feeling and make the people who watch the original get that nostalgia feeling
1. Try to go into more detail; make sure you refer to relevant marketing strategies. What did Snapchat do?
ReplyDelete2. Good but again try to use specific details in your answer. Facebook , Instragram etc. and there were more such as Behind the Scenes teasers.
3. Why would 3D be particularly effective with a film like The Jungle Book? Think about that first shot.
4. Good knowledge demonstrated but try to avoid generalising. Disney's 1967 film are aimed at a family audience of which girls are the core demographic. How is it different now?
5. Fine.
6. Good but more detail and be specific with details!
7. Refer to motion capture and previsualisation - how did these aspects of production affect the film?
8. This is CGI but you did need to explain motion capture as well.
9. Good (cel animation and a multi plane camera)
