Dance Music Video Analysis

they use very upbeat music in this video to give you the feeling that it is summer which is why they are running on the beach in very little clothing, this shows that they are having fun and this will make teens think and relate to any time they have had with their friends and this cold link to good memories of theirs which will put them in a good mood and enjoy the song. For me when i listen to songs like this i think of being out with family or friends and having a good time. it puts me in a good mood and i always enjoy the song. They are designed to put you in a good mood. Also the colours that they use are always colourful you will never see them using dull colours, this is because people link vibrant colours.

In this video they use a very cool concept because they use vr headsets to make them look like they are actually in the places, this makes them feel part of the atmosphere and brings the audience on the journey with him. instantly you can see that they are in a very colourful place and much like every other dance video they are in a foreign country and they are having a good time. It is always sunny because they wouldn't want the scene to be dark and make people feel gloomy. the only time they are in the dark is when they are in the city and this has lots of lights.

sweet loving 
this video is very similar in the sense that you have people in the summer who are dancing and having a good time. This one isn't like the first though because this one uses smoke bombs to create the vibrant colours that the others have. This is a cool concept that i have never seen before and this attracts people because they like to see new and fresh things.

this one isn't as summery as the rest of them but it is still classed as dance music because it has a beat which is upbeat and catchy. they still use bright colours which makes people interested but the singer that they have chosen to sing this video is very close key and dreary this means that if you are not into this sort of music then you wont enjoy it.

Old Spice Poster Analysis

They are appealing to a younger audience because they have added interesting things to the cover such as a volcano coming out of his head which would appeal to them as they might find this cool. The text that they have used is trying to get you to think of what their product will smell like. The fact that they have put 'this fact has not been fact checked which means they are most likely doing the to make it light hearted and appeal to the younger audiences. This links to their company because they are known for being funny with their commercials. He is also 'wearing a beach' which means that they are trying to make you think that you will smell like a holiday and the 'freshest' places which is appealing for younger generations.

Three Shot Comparison

Film Camera- this has the lowest camera quality because it is from a moving image and this is only as screen shot of what it captured. this means there is motion in the photo which makes it blurry. Also the focus of the photo is on his ear/shirt which makes that part of the screen in focus and the rest is out of focus. this is the camera only focusing on the middle of the screen.

 iPhone- this one has not been done correctly because it is portrait and it should be landscape like the other ones. it also has fairly good quality as the camera on the iPhone is very good these days. The iPhone on the other hand does a good job of focusing as much of the photo as possible. it makes his face look bright and appealing making his skin look very clear and shows a vibrant image unlike the other ones.

DSLR- this has the highest quality out of all of them, it has a great depth to it and as a good field of view. the depth is very shallow and you can see loads of colour, however though it picks out the colour and makes him look like he has a black eye, this would not be good if they were putting him a magazine because they are not making him the most attractive possible. also the colouring on his hair is a lot more textured then the other ones and this gives the effect that

Close the Loop: Shot Comparison

The camera quality is not as good in the professional one also the setting is wrong because josh the model is in a corridor and you can see the reflection of someone in the left of the shot. Also the original photo was portrait. This has been cropped to make it look the same. Also the location is meant to be in a supermarket. Also the expression on his face is not the same as the one on the woman, she is taking it very serious and he is smiling. I might also need to get him to wear something else on his head next time as it does not give the same effect that he is going over the top which is what the shot is meant to be doing
